Get started

1. Add a supplier and its optional Shopify vendor mapping.
2. Create a return, select an inventory location, and search by SKU, product, barcode, or vendor.
3. Select items, confirm quantities and costs, then save the draft.
4. Download the supplier CSV and update the return as it progresses.

What changes inventory—and what does not

Saving a return does not change Shopify inventory.

When products actually leave your store, open the inventory preview. Maru RTV Bridge shows the quantity before the return, the quantity being removed, and the quantity that will remain. Inventory changes only after a staff member reviews every line, checks the confirmation box, and selects Post inventory adjustment.

Maru RTV Bridge does not contact the supplier, arrange shipping, or approve a supplier credit for you. Your team remains responsible for reviewing the return, shipping the products, and checking the credit received.

Common questions

Why can’t I find an item?

Confirm the selected location and search with a specific SKU or barcode. Results are limited to 50 variants per search.

Does Shopify’s vendor field identify the supplier?

Not always. Maru RTV Bridge stores suppliers separately and treats the vendor field as an optional search and mapping hint.

When does inventory change?

Only after the return has been recorded as shipped and a staff member completes the separate inventory preview and confirmation step. The same return cannot reduce inventory twice.

What is a supplier credit?

It is money the supplier owes your store for products that were sent back. You can record one payment or several partial credits. Maru RTV Bridge keeps showing the unpaid amount until the full expected credit is recorded.

Why are Korean characters broken in Excel?

Keep UTF-8 BOM enabled in the CSV template. It is on by default.
